Airheads was the ’90s comedy starring Brendan Fraser and Adam Sandler.

Variety hosted an Actors on Actors reunion with Airhead co-stars Adam Sandler and Brendan Fraser. Nearly 30 years later, they both speak about their time in the cult film. Fraser also discusses how he got the lead role in The Whale. Sandler also talks about his experience working with Paul Thomas Anderson on ‘Punk Drunk Love. The 90’s comedy Airheads came out on August 5, 1994, and starred Sandler, Fraser, and Steve Buscemi. The film also stars Chris Farley, Ernie Hudson, Michael McKean, Judd Nelson, Michael Richards, Amy Locane, and Joe Mantegna.
Synopsis
Three aspiring rock musicians, Chazz (Brendan Fraser), Pip (Adam Sandler), and Rex (Steve Buscemi), are determined to have their band’s demo tape played on the air. So, out of desperation, they sneak into a Los Angeles radio station. Still, when the manager, Milo (Michael McKean), meets them with hostility, they threaten him with realistic-looking water pistols. Soon the situation escalates, and the none-too-bright rockers get in over their heads.
