Charlotte Flair balances fame, family, and the fight ahead of SummerSlam 2025.

As WWE gears up for its first-ever two-night SummerSlam event, superstar Charlotte Flair is stepping into the spotlight once again—this time both in the ring and behind the curtain.
Flair, who is set to compete alongside Alexa Bliss for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, spoke with Nerdtropolis about the emotional weight of performing at this level and what fans can expect from the eye-opening new series WWE: Unreal, now streaming on Netflix.
A Deeper Look Behind the Curtain
“WWE: Unreal” pulls back the curtain on the WWE universe, providing fans with unprecedented access to the personal struggles and sacrifices their favorite superstars face off-camera. For Flair, the show is an opportunity to showcase to the world what life is truly like beyond the glitz and glamour.
“I think Charlotte’s so pristine and put together,” Flair said. “But most of the time, I have a messy bun and gym clothes on. That’s probably the most surprising part—just how different on-camera and off-camera can be.”

She added that despite her larger-than-life persona, her real-life routine is centered around discipline and recovery.
“I still train really hard during the week. I still rehab. I think I’ll rehab forever for my knee injury,” she admitted. “But it’s part of the grind.”
Making Moments That Last a Lifetime
Flair also touched on what it means to create lasting memories for fans—just like her father, the legendary Ric Flair, did for generations. When asked about the impact of fan interactions, she spoke about the importance of connection.
“That’s why I always try to make eye contact with as many kids as I can during my entrance or on my way back,” she said. “Because I think they’ll remember it forever.”

For many fans, those quick moments at a live show turn into lifelong memories—and Flair doesn’t take that lightly.
SummerSlam 2025: A Championship Showdown
Flair returns to the ring at SummerSlam 2025 on Saturday, August 2. She is teaming with Alexa Bliss in a title match against Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

SummerSlam night one takes place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The event kicks off a stacked two-day lineup. It includes CM Punk vs. Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship. Jade Cargill will also challenge Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship.
Fans can stream SummerSlam live on Peacock (U.S.) or Netflix (worldwide) at 6 p.m. ET, with a countdown special beginning at 3 p.m. ET on WWE.com and across WWE social platforms.
When asked to name her favorite stadium to wrestle in, Flair cited WrestleMania 39 at SoFi Stadium but added, “I think the most memorable stadium for me, though, will always be AT&T.”
What’s Next for The Queen?
WWE: Unreal offers new insight into life behind the scenes. SummerSlam positions Charlotte Flair once again for championship gold. She continues to balance the roles of in-ring royalty and everyday human being—one who just happens to be redefining what it means to be a WWE legend.
SummerSlam airs live Saturday and Sunday at 6 ET/3 PT. Full match cards and special features can be found at WWE.com.
