Disney+ Casts Daniel Diemer as Tyson for “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” Season Two

In a surprise announcement at San Diego Comic-Con, Rick Riordan and Disney+ unveiled Daniel Diemer as the newest addition to the cast of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians.” Diemer, known for his role in Hulu’s “Under the Bridge,” will take on the pivotal role of Tyson, the beloved cyclops.

Joining leads Walker Scobell (Percy Jackson), Leah Sava Jeffries (Annabeth Chase), and Aryan Simhadri (Grover Underwood), Diemer steps into the fantasy world as a series regular. Production for the eagerly anticipated second season, based on Rick Riordan’s “The Sea of Monsters,” commences next week in Vancouver.
In the upcoming season, Percy Jackson returns to Camp Half-Blood to confront unprecedented challenges. Amidst changing dynamics with Annabeth and Grover’s mysterious disappearance, Percy discovers Tyson. He is a gentle giant struggling to fit into the human world.
