Dune: Prophecy is a prequel to the feature films.

During Warner Bros. Discovery’s Upfront presentation, the first look teaser of the upcoming Max Original drama series, “Dune: Prophecy,” was shown. The six-episode series is set to debut this fall on Max. “Dune: Prophecy” transports viewers to 10,000 years before the rise of Paul Atreides, the central figure in Frank Herbert’s acclaimed “Dune” series. The new show focuses on the origin of the Bene Gesserit. They are the powerful and mysterious sisterhood that plays a pivotal role in the “Dune” universe. The series is inspired by “Sisterhood of Dune.”
It is a novel co-authored by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson. The story follows two Harkonnen sisters navigating and combating forces that threaten humankind’s future. Their struggles and triumphs lead to the establishment of the Bene Gesserit. It is a secretive sect known for its political influence and supernatural abilities. The star-studded cast includes Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Jodhi May, Mark Strong, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, and Josh Heuston. Also part of the cast are Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Jihae, Tabu, Charithra Chandran, Jessica Barden, Emma Canning, and Yerin Ha.
