Emma Westenberg’s ‘Bleeding Love’ starring Ewan McGregor and Clara McGregor will hit digital platforms.

Kaleidoscope Home Entertainment has announced the digital release of “Bleeding Love.” It is an indie drama featuring the real-life father-daughter duo of Golden Globe winner Ewan McGregor and Clara McGregor. Directed by Emma Westenberg the film will be available on all major digital platforms starting July 22.

“Bleeding Love” premiered at SXSW and was the Opening Gala film at the 20th Glasgow Film Festival; the story follows a father (Ewan McGregor) attempting to reconnect with his estranged adult daughter (Clara McGregor) following her near-fatal drug overdose. The father secretly plans to take her to rehab during an impromptu road trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico. Along the way, they encounter an array of eccentric characters and are forced to confront the unresolved issues of their past.

Ewan and Clara McGregor’s on-screen chemistry will bring a unique authenticity to the film. Clara, who co-wrote the script with Vera Bulder and Ruby Caster, mentioned that while the story is fictional, it draws on elements of her relationship with her father. “Bleeding Love” is a deeply personal project for the McGregor family. It will hit digital platforms on July 22 and is set to resonate with audiences. Watch the trailer below!
