Mazda RX-7, Skyline GT-R, and Supra join Fast & Furious Hollywood Drift Coaster.

Universal Studios Hollywood has completed the lineup of Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift ride vehicles for its high-speed roller coaster debuting this summer. The attraction will feature vehicles inspired by some of the most iconic cars in the Fast & Furious franchise, including the Mazda RX-7, Nissan Skyline GT-R, Toyota Supra, and the previously revealed 1970 Dodge Charger.
Each train will allow guests to step into vehicles modeled after the cars driven by beloved characters from the films, placing riders directly into the adrenaline-filled world of street racing that helped define the blockbuster series.
What Is Fast & Furious Hollywood Drift at Universal Studios Hollywood?
Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift will be the first-ever high-speed outdoor roller coaster at Universal Studios Hollywood.
The attraction is designed to recreate the thrilling driving choreography seen throughout the Fast & Furious films. Riders will experience the sensation of high-speed drifting thanks to groundbreaking 360-degree rotating ride vehicles.

The roller coaster will reach speeds of up to 72 miles per hour as it races along 4,100 feet of elevated track that stretches across large portions of the theme park. The track is nearly 12 football fields long and will even pass above the multi-level Starway escalator connecting the Upper and Lower Lots.
The ride will be located in the Upper Lot and housed in a massive red-brick garage-style structure that evokes the underground street-racing culture featured throughout the films.
The Four Ride Vehicles Guests Can Experience
Universal Studios Hollywood designed four vehicles inspired by legendary Fast & Furious cars.
• Dodge Charger – Inspired by Dominic Toretto’s powerful black 1970 muscle car
• Mazda RX-7 – Based on Han Seoul-oh’s 1997 tuner car with racing upgrades
• Nissan Skyline GT-R – Inspired by Brian O’Conner’s modified blue 2002 Skyline
• Toyota Supra – Modeled after Brian O’Conner’s iconic orange 1994 Supra
These vehicles are among the most memorable from the Fast & Furious films.
The Mazda RX-7 features 19-inch wheels, racing seats, upgraded suspension, and detailed interior modifications. Meanwhile, the Nissan Skyline GT-R is known for its striking appearance and extensive performance upgrades in the films.
The Toyota Supra remains one of the most recognizable cars in the franchise thanks to its legendary 2JZ-GTE twin-turbo inline-six engine. In the original film, Brian O’Conner famously promised Dominic Toretto a “10-second car,” and the orange Supra delivered.
Dominic Toretto’s black 1970 Dodge Charger completes the lineup as the franchise’s ultimate American muscle car.
Massive Street Racing Mural Welcomes Guests
Inside the attraction’s loading platform, guests will encounter a large-scale mural created by internationally renowned artist Tristan Eaton.
The freehand spray-painted artwork stretches across a brick wall and recreates the dramatic street-racing finale scene from the original Fast & Furious film. The mural depicts Dominic Toretto’s Dodge Charger and Brian O’Conner’s Toyota Supra racing against a speeding train.
The artwork also pays tribute to Vin Diesel’s character, Dominic Toretto, while capturing the energy and intensity that define the Fast & Furious universe.
A New Thrill Ride for Universal Studios Hollywood
Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift will join the park’s growing lineup of major attractions when it opens this summer.
Universal Studios Hollywood is already home to several popular experiences, including SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, which features the acclaimed Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge ride.

Other attractions include The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Jurassic World—The Ride, The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash, Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, Springfield U.S.A., and The Simpsons Ride, Transformers: The Ride-3D, Revenge of the Mummy—The Ride, and the legendary Studio Tour.
The Fast & Furious Franchise Continues to Expand
The Fast & Furious saga has grown into one of Universal Pictures’ biggest global franchises. Across eleven films, the series has earned more than $7 billion worldwide.
The franchise expanded into toys, video games, animated series, and the successful spin-off film Hobbs & Shaw. In 2026, the series will celebrate its 25th anniversary.
Universal has also announced the next chapter in the franchise, titled Fast Forever, which is scheduled to arrive in theaters on March 17, 2028.
When Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift opens this summer at Universal Studios Hollywood, fans will have the chance to experience the speed, style, and spectacle of the franchise in a completely new way.
