‘The Wild Robot’ drops a new trailer promising an epic adventure.

DreamWorks Animation is set to captivate audiences with a unique cinematic experience, bringing to life Peter Brown’s beloved literary classic, the #1 New York Times bestseller, ‘The Wild Robot ‘. The heart of the story is ROZZUM unit 7134, affectionately known as Roz, a shipwrecked robot on a desolate island. In this epic tale, Roz must navigate her harsh new environment, gradually forming bonds with the island’s animal residents. She ultimately becomes the nurturing parent of an orphaned gosling, embarking on a poignant journey of survival, friendship, and self-discovery. Watch the new movie trailer below!
Headlining the cast is Lupita Nyong’o.
She brings her voice to the titular robot Roz. Joining her are the talented Pedro Pascal as the sly fox Fink and the esteemed Catherine O’Hara as the wise opossum Pinktail. The caring goose Longneck is voiced by Bill Nighy, while the curious gosling, Brightbill, is portrayed by Kit Connor. The cast also features Stephanie Hsu as Vontra, a robot whose path intersects with Roz’s on the island. The film boasts an impressive array of additional voice talents. It includes Emmy-winning pop-culture icon Mark Hamill, Matt Berry, and Ving Rhames
It is written and directed by three-time Oscar nominee Chris Sanders.
He is known for his work on DreamWorks Animation’s “How to Train Your Dragon,” “The Croods,” and Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch,” Sanders brings his unique storytelling prowess to this touching and visually stunning film. The project is produced by Jeff Hermann, whose credits include “The Boss Baby 2: Family Business” and the “Kung Fu Panda” franchise. Peter Brown’s original novel, published in 2016, quickly became a phenomenon, topping the New York Times bestseller list. The book’s success led to a trilogy, which includes “The Wild Robot Escapes” and “The Wild Robot Protects.” Brown’s contributions to children’s literature have garnered numerous accolades, including a Caldecott Honor, a Horn Book Award, two E.B. White Awards, and many others.
