Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire held its World Premiere in NYC.

The highly anticipated movie Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire premiered in New York City, marking a triumphant return to the beloved franchise. Prior to the World Premiere, I had the exclusive opportunity to spend time with the legendary actor Ernie Hudson who reprises his role as Winston Zeddemore in the movie. We had an insightful conversation about his belief in the supernatural, his return to the Ghostbusters franchise, and what fans can expect from the latest installment. Watch the interview below!
Returning to the franchise with Afterlife was particularly poignant for Hudson.
It provided an opportunity to pay tribute to his late friend and colleague, Harold Ramis. Hudson also reflected on reuniting with the original cast and what made the late Ivan Reitman such a great director. One of the most exciting aspects of Frozen Empire is the reunion of the original cast, including fan favorites like Slimer, William Atherton, as the infamous Walter Peck.
The movie is slated for release in theaters on March 22, 2024.
The Spengler family returns to the iconic New York City firehouse in this installment. This time, they are teaming up with the original Ghostbusters, who have been busy developing a clandestine research lab to revolutionize their ghost-busting capabilities. However, their plans are thrown into disarray when the unearthing of an ancient artifact triggers a catastrophic event, unleashing a horde of vengeful spirits that blanket the city in an icy grip of doom. As the world teeters on the brink of a second Ice Age, seasoned and novice Ghostbusters must unite to confront this spectral menace and safeguard humanity from impending catastrophe.
Frozen Empire is by director Gil Kenan and penned by Kenan & Jason Reitman. This duo worked together to bring us Afterlife. They promise a thrilling continuation of the Ghostbusters legacy, blending heart-pounding action with signature humor and camaraderie. The movie features a stellar cast that builds upon the last film. It includes Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, Celeste O’Connor, and Logan Kim. The original cast also returns with Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts. The stage is set for a cinematic experience that will leave audiences on the edge of their seats and clamoring for more. So mark your calendars and prepare to answer the call – the Ghostbusters are back!
