Paul Mescal and Pedro Pascal Lead Star-Studded Cast in New Gladiator II Trailer

Gladiator II, Ridley Scott’s epic sequel, hits theaters this November.

The much-anticipated trailer for Gladiator II is here. It gives fans a thrilling glimpse into Ridley Scott’s return to the Colosseum. The sequel will release in theaters on November 22. Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, Denzel Washington, Connie Nielsen, Joseph Quinn, and Fred Hechinger star.

This new chapter in the Gladiator saga follows Lucius, portrayed by Paul Mescal, the nephew of Maximus, the beloved general turned gladiator hero from the original 2000 film. The first movie, starring Russell Crowe, was a massive success, earning five Academy Awards, including Best Picture. In Gladiator II, Lucius witnesses Maximus’s brutal death years earlier and is forced to confront his past. Now a man, Lucius must fight to restore Rome’s honor and glory, which has been ravaged by corrupt emperors. The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast.

Paul Mescal leads the charge as Lucius. Fantastic Four‘s Pedro Pascal, known for his roles in The Mandalorian and Game of Thrones, joins the cast alongside Denzel Washington, a legendary actor whose gravitas brings a new layer of intensity to the story. Original cast member Connie Nielsen also returns as Lucilla, reprising her role from the first film.
