The Last of Us Season 2 trailer debuts at SXSW panel.

HBO unveiled the official trailer for the highly anticipated second season of its original drama series, The Last of Us, during a South by Southwest (SXSW) panel. The event featured series stars Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, Kaitlyn Dever, Isabela Merced, Gabriel Luna, and Young Mazino, along with executive producers Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann.
The seven-episode second season will premiere Sunday, April 13, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will be available for streaming on Max. New episodes will debut weekly on Sundays. Season two takes place five years after the events of the first season. It follows Joel and Ellie as they navigate a world even more treacherous and unpredictable than before, testing their bond and survival instincts.

Returning cast members include Pedro Pascal as Joel, Bella Ramsey as Ellie, Gabriel Luna as Tommy, and Rutina Wesley as Maria. The season also introduces new characters portrayed by Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Isabela Merced as Dina, Young Mazino as Jesse, Ariela Barer as Mel, Tati Gabrielle as Nora, Spencer Lord as Owen, Danny Ramirez as Manny, and Jeffrey Wright as Isaac. Emmy-winning actress Catherine O’Hara will make a guest appearance.

The Last of Us is based on the acclaimed PlayStation video game franchise developed by Naughty Dog. The series is written and executive produced by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann and is a co-production with Sony Pictures Television.
With the release of the official trailer, fans eagerly await the next chapter in Joel and Ellie’s journey as they face new threats and moral dilemmas in the post-apocalyptic world.
