Holidays at Universal Studios Hollywood Kick Off with Grinchmas and More

Grinchmas, Wizarding World Festivities, and Nintendo World light up Universal for the holidays.

Universal Studios Hollywood launched its annual holiday celebration today, inviting guests to explore festive décor, exclusive treats, and a wide mix of entertainment across the park and Universal CityWalk. The event runs daily through Sunday, January 4. Visitors are welcomed by seasonal decorations from the front gate to CityWalk, setting the scene for a lineup that highlights “Grinchmas,” “Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter,” and the holiday festivities inside SUPER NINTENDO WORLD. Each area offers its own themed food, collectibles, and family-friendly moments.

Grinchmas Returns With New Treats and Whimsical Décor

The park’s popular “Grinchmas” celebration anchors the event with its signature 65-foot topsy-turvy tree and daily Who-bilation performances. Guests can meet the Grinch and Max, enjoy live entertainment, and explore a new slate of holiday bites at the Grinchmas-themed Hollywood & Dine restaurant.

Seasonal Menu Highlights

The menu offers playful riffs on theme-park comfort food. It includes Who-Hash loaded tots, the Klubwich stacked with turkey and ham, and the Dumpit to Crumpit Onion Rings with chicken, bacon, jalapenos, and queso. Other offerings include the Who-Wreath Salad, the Stick a Doodle Corn Dog, and the Who-B-Q Roast Beastwich. Plant-based visitors can opt for the Roast Beast-less Loaf.

Desserts range from the Heart Grew 3 Sizes Cookie to the Grinch Donut, Max’s Gingerbread Blondie, and the Who-bilation Funnel Cake. Drinks include Grinch’s Heart Lemonade, Who Cold Brew, Who-ville Snowball Fight hot cocoa, and spiked hot cocoa options.

Seasonal merchandise fills the plaza with new headbands, sleepwear, accessories, ornaments, and Spirit Jerseys themed to The Grinch.

Holiday Magic Spreads Through The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Hogsmeade brings back “Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter,” complete with festive décor and an English Holiday Meal at Three Broomsticks. The seasonal plate features roasted turkey breast, stuffing, honey-glazed carrots, brussels sprouts, bacon-wrapped sausage, and cranberry glaze. Guests can warm up with hot spiced apple cider or Hot Butterbeer.

A fresh merchandise collection includes ornaments, home décor, apparel, and a new interactive Pygmy Puff wristlet and shoulder pal, with personalization available on select items.

SUPER NINTENDO WORLD Adds Seasonal Merch and Offers

SUPER NINTENDO WORLD joins the celebration with limited merchandise and a special Power-Up Band offer. Guests who purchase one band at full price can receive a discount on a second band in the same transaction.

The broader “Holidays at Universal” merchandise collection features Spirit Jerseys inspired by The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Shrek, Hello Kitty, Back to the Future, and Jaws. Select items are also available online at shopUniversal.com.

CityWalk Extends the Celebration Beyond the Gates

Universal CityWalk continues the holiday cheer with live entertainment, a Wicked: For Good-themed holiday tree, and limited-time treats from VIVO Italian Kitchen, Antojitos Cocina Mexicana, Voodoo Doughnut, NBC Sports Grill & Brew, The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium, and the Hello Kitty and Friends Cafe.

Shoppers can browse NBA Store, LINE FRIENDS SQUARE, Production Central, Cartooniversal, and other retail spots filled with film-inspired gifts from Wicked: For Good, Universal Monsters, Jurassic World, and more.

A Gift for Universal Fans

Universal Studios Hollywood is also promoting its Annual Pass as a holiday gift option. For a limited time, new Annual Pass purchases include three additional months at no extra cost. The pass also sets guests up for next year’s debut of “Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift,” opening in 2026.
