Apple TV+ sci-fi series Invasion returns August 22 with weekly episodes.
Apple TV+ has released the official trailer for Season 3 of Invasion, the high-stakes science fiction series from Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past) and David Weil (Hunters). The 10-episode third season will premiere globally on Friday, August 22, with one episode dropping weekly through October 24, 2025.
From the minds of Kinberg and Weil, Invasion has gained a following for its grounded, global perspective on an alien attack. Season 3 takes the story even further—both narratively and geographically—as survivors across the globe finally unite to face a shared enemy.
A Shared Mission Against the Apex Threat
“Invasion” has always leaned into showing the alien invasion through the eyes of different characters worldwide. But in Season 3, those previously separated stories converge for the first time.
The new season finds the alien apex predators expanding their deadly reach across Earth. To stop them, the show’s core characters must come together and work as a unified team in a mission to infiltrate the alien mothership. This season promises high emotional stakes, action-packed sequences, and a deeper look into human resilience and connection.
According to Apple, “new relationships are formed, old relationships are challenged and even shattered,” as characters are forced to become more than survivors—they must become a team.
Returning Cast and New Faces
The third season features returning stars Golshifteh Farahani, Shioli Kutsuna, Shamier Anderson, India Brown, Shane Zaza, and Enver Gjokaj. Joining the ensemble is Erika Alexander (Living Single, Get Out), now a series regular.
Behind the Scenes
“Invasion” continues to be led by creators and executive producers Simon Kinberg and David Weil, with additional EPs including Audrey Chon, David Witz, Alik Sakharov, Dan Dietz, Katie O’Connell Marsh, and Nick Nantell.
Critics have praised the series for its cinematic visuals and pacing, with many highlighting how the show “ups the ante” each season. Seasons 1 and 2 of Invasion are currently streaming on Apple TV+.
