The Best Christmas Pageant Ever arrives in theaters this November.
The Herdmans are back! And this time, they’re taking over theaters with The Best Christmas Pageant Ever: The Greatest Story Ever Told (By the Worst Kids in the History of the World), hitting theaters on November 8. Directed by Dallas Jenkins, best known for his work on The Chosen, the film brings Barbara Robinson’s beloved international bestseller to life. This heartwarming holiday comedy follows the Herdman siblings—who are infamous for lying, stealing, and bullying—as they inadvertently take the lead roles in the town’s annual Christmas pageant.
Grace (Judy Greer), a first-time director, is tasked with pulling off the Christmas play. However, things quickly spiral out of control when the Herdmans crash the rehearsals in search of snacks. Her daughter Beth (Molly Belle Wright) and husband Bob (Pete Holmes) stand by her, but the town’s patience is running thin as the troublesome kids cause chaos. Despite the odds, Grace is determined to make the pageant work—and in the process, the unruly Herdmans might just teach the community the true meaning of Christmas. Watch the trailer below!

Fans of Jenkins’s work eagerly anticipate the film, combining humor with heartfelt moments, making it a perfect holiday treat. Adding to the festive spirit is country music superstar Blake Shelton. He has recorded a new, upbeat arrangement of the traditional carol “Go Tell It on the Mountain.” It will be featured in the film’s end credits. Shelton announced the song at Chosen Con, the annual event for fans of Jenkins’s series The Chosen. The song, produced by Scott Hendricks, is set to release on October 18, and fans can pre-save it now. Gospel star Gordon Mote and vocalist Wendy Moten, known from The Voice, contribute to the jubilant track.
