Keanu Reeves makes professional racing debut at age 60.

Hollywood star Keanu Reeves made his professional car racing debut today at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, competing in the Toyota GR Cup. The 60-year-old actor, known for his roles in action-packed films like The Matrix and John Wick, took on a new kind of adrenaline-fueled challenge behind the wheel of the No. 92 BRZRKR car.
Reeves competed in a field of 33 racers, finishing in 25th place out of 35 in Saturday’s Race 1 and improving slightly with a 24th-place finish in Sunday’s Race 2. During the first race, he spun out on the track but signaled that he was uninjured and continued the race.
The actor’s car sported the No. 92 and was branded with the title “BRZRKR.”
That is a nod to his graphic novel The Book of Elsewhere, which he co-wrote with acclaimed author China Miéville. Released in July, the novel is the latest addition to Reeves’ successful BRZRKR comic book series, which began in 2021. Reeves’s teammate Cody Jones, a popular YouTube group Dude Perfect member, joined him on the racetrack. Together, they represented the amateur-focused racing series, which caters to car enthusiasts and aspiring racers.
Though his performance wasn’t podium-worthy, Reeves’ presence brought significant buzz to the Toyota GR Cup, a series that provides a competitive platform for those passionate about racing. For Reeves, it marked another thrilling venture outside his acting career that aligns with his love for speed and performance vehicles.
His debut at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, one of the most historic tracks in motorsport, was celebrated by fans who admire both his versatility as an actor and his willingness to explore new passions. While transitioning from the silver screen to the racetrack may seem unconventional, it underscores Reeves’ adventurous spirit and dedication to taking on new challenges, regardless of the odds.
Reeves has long expressed an interest in racing and motorcycles, making his debut a fitting culmination of years of interest in the world of motorsport. At age 60, he has added professional car racing to his diverse list of accomplishments.
