Killers Of The Flower Moon Returning To Theaters

Killers of the Flower Moon is a slow-burning western crime drama.

Apple plans to re-release the Oscar Best Picture nominee “Killers of the Flower Moon” in theaters worldwide. The announcement reflects the film’s overwhelming success and critical acclaim. The film’s re-release comes after receiving ten award nominations at the Academy Awards.

The nominations include Best Picture, Best Director for Martin Scorsese, and Best Supporting Actor for Robert De Niro. Additionally, the film has received nominations for Best Costume Design, Best Production Design, Best Original Score, Best Original Song, Best Film Editing, and Best Cinematography. The movie has also made history with its Indigenous representation. It has earned nominations for Lead Actress Lily Gladstone, artist Robbie Robertson for Best Original Score, and Scott George for Best Original Song, “Wahzhazhe (A Song For My People).”

One of the most notable aspects of the film is Lily Gladstone’s historic win as the first Indigenous actress to receive Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture Drama at the 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards. This achievement highlights the movie’s commitment to representing and honoring Indigenous voices.

It is a gripping tale set at the turn of the 20th century.

It explores the Osage Nation’s immense wealth brought about by the oil boom. The narrative follows white interlopers who are greedy. They manipulate, extort, and even resort to murder in their quest for the Osage money. It is based on a true story that centers around the romance of Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Mollie Kyle (Lily Gladstone). The film is an epic Western crime saga that delves into the intersections of real love and unspeakable betrayal. The stellar cast also includes Robert De Niro and Jesse Plemons.

“Killers of the Flower Moon” is by director Martin Scorsese from a screenplay by Eric Roth and Scorsese. It was adapted from David Grann’s bestselling book.
