KPop Demon Hunters Sing-Along Brings Fan-Favorite Songs to Netflix

Netflix expands hit animated musical KPop Demon Hunters with interactive release.

Netflix announced that KPop Demon Hunters Sing-Along, a full-length sing-along edition of the record-breaking animated film, will launch worldwide on Monday, August 25. Fans will be able to belt out their favorite songs from the hit feature, including the chart-topping anthem “Golden.”

The global debut follows the successful limited theatrical rollout of KPop Demon Hunters: A Sing-Along Event, which played in 2,180 theaters across the United States, Canada, the UK/Ireland, and Australia/New Zealand. The special screenings included over 1,300 sold-out shows in the U.S. and Canada.

Star-Powered Fan Celebrations

As part of the theatrical weekend, members of the film’s voice cast—including Arden Cho, May Hong, and Ken Jeong—appeared alongside vocalists REI AMI and Kevin Woo, as well as directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, and producer Michelle L.M. Wong. Fans in New York and Los Angeles were surprised with in-theater appearances and celebrations.

In New York, the Empire State Building lit up “Golden” on August 22 during a Music-to-Light Spectacular in partnership with Netflix, CAPE (Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment), and iHeartMedia. Fans were also treated to a double-decker bus sing-along experience throughout Manhattan.

Record-Breaking Success

Since its Netflix premiere on June 20, KPop Demon Hunters has become the most popular Netflix original animated film of all time, the first original animated title to enter the platform’s Most Popular Movies List (English). The accompanying soundtrack has surged globally with over 3 billion streams, led by “Golden,” which claimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
