Late Night With The Devil is now in theaters.

Late Night with the Devil takes viewers on a chilling journey back to 1977. This is where the world of late-night television collides with the supernatural. My local theater manager, Damir Catic, hails it as a new and fresh masterpiece for the genre. After experiencing it myself, I couldn’t agree more. The film boasts a fun premise and delivers a captivating performance by David Dastmalchian and Ingrid Torelli. Dastmalchian shines as Jack Delroy. He is the troubled late-night host of Night Owls, whose ratings have taken a nosedive since the tragic death of his wife. To revive his show’s fortunes, Jack plans a Halloween special that unwittingly invites darkness into viewers’ homes across America.
I had the pleasure of chatting with the talented duo behind the film. Colin Cairnes and Cameron Cairnes are the film’s directors, writers, and editors. They shed light on Dastmalchian’s portrayal of Jack Delroy. The brothers describe him as the perfect embodiment of a late-night host grappling with personal demons. During the conversation, it is revealed that Dastmalchian came on board early in the process, bringing his unique flair to the character from the outset. Watch the interview below!
One of the most intriguing aspects of the film is its vivid depiction of 1977.
The Cairnes brothers discussed the challenges of bringing this time era to life. They emphasized the importance of capturing its essence as a character in itself. From the fashion to the set design, every detail was meticulously crafted to immerse audiences in the atmosphere of the late ’70s. In terms of storytelling, Late Night with the Devil offers a compelling blend of horror and nostalgia. As Jack Delroy’s Halloween special unfolds, viewers are drawn deeper into a world where the line between reality and the supernatural blurs. The film keeps audiences on the edge of their seats. It also delivers twists and turns that are as unexpected as they are thrilling.
With standout performances, a gripping storyline, and meticulous attention to detail, Late Night with the Devil is a must-watch for horror and late-night television fans. So grab your popcorn and prepare to be transported to a time when late-night TV was king, and the devil himself may have lurked behind the screen.
