The latest LEGO Batman is a definitive Dark Knight story told through LEGO humor.

Warner Bros. Games, TT Games, DC, and the LEGO Group have officially announced LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. It is a new open-world action-adventure video game set to release in 2026. The title aims to deliver the ultimate LEGO Batman story, spanning the Caped Crusader’s origins to his rise as Gotham City’s protector, infused with decades of Batman film, television, comic book, and video game history.
A Story That Spans the Dark Knight’s Legacy
This installment will chronicle Bruce Wayne’s journey, beginning with his League of Shadows training. The story-driven campaign introduces players to familiar allies, including Jim Gordon, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul, all united against Gotham’s legendary Rogues’ Gallery. Villains, including The Joker, The Penguin, Poison Ivy, Ra’s al Ghul, and Bane, headline the lineup of foes.

Combat and Cooperative Play
The game introduces a revamped combat system tailored to Batman’s fighting style, featuring fluid combos, counters, and cinematic takedowns. Players can fight solo or team up in two-player local co-op. Beyond Batman’s arsenal of gadgets like Batarangs and the Batclaw, partner characters bring unique tools into battle, from Jim Gordon’s foam sprayer to Catwoman’s whip. For those seeking a challenge, Legacy of the Dark Knight includes two new difficulty modes: “Caped Crusader” and “Dark Knight.”

Gotham Brought to Life in LEGO
Gotham City serves as a fully explorable LEGO playground filled with crimes to solve, puzzles to uncover, and collectibles to chase. Players can grapple, glide, and drive across rooftops, alleyways, and districts using the Batglider, Batmobiles, and Batcycles. The customizable Batcave allows fans to showcase trophies, vehicles, and Batsuits inspired by Batman’s legacy across various media.
