“LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy,” a four-piece animated special, will premiere on Disney+ next month on September 13. The special celebrates the longstanding partnership between Lucasfilm and The LEGO Group, marking twenty-five years since their groundbreaking collaboration began. Watch the trailer below!
The special offers a fresh, humorous take on the Star Wars universe, combining familiar and unexpected elements. Audiences can look forward to seeing Imperial X-fighters, Rebel TIE-wings, and even a character called Darth Jar Jar. The story follows Sig Greebling, voiced by Gaten Matarazzo. He is an ordinary nerf-herder who stumbles upon a powerful artifact hidden in a Jedi temple. This discovery throws him into an adventure in a wildly twisted version of the galaxy, where the lines between good and evil are blurred, and the fate of the universe hinges on Sig’s ability to restore order.
The voice cast features an impressive lineup. It includes Gaten Matarazzo as Sig Greebling, Tony Revolori as Dev Greebling, Bobby Moynihan as Jedi Bob, Marsai Martin as Yesi Scala, Michael Cusack as Servo, Ahmed Best as Darth Jar Jar, and Mark Hamill reprising his iconic role as Luke Skywalker. With its blend of humor, action, and imagination, “LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy” is set to captivate fans upon its release on Disney+ next month.
