Live-action Lilo & Stitch Digital and Blu-ray release dates set.
Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch has officially joined the billion-dollar club. The heartwarming and hilarious reimagining of the 2002 animated classic has crossed $1 billion at the global box office. It is the first title of 2025 to hit that milestone.
After launching with a record-breaking $183 million Memorial Day weekend debut, the Dean Fleischer Camp-directed hit has become the year’s top-grossing MPA release both worldwide and internationally. Its overwhelming success has sparked a franchise resurgence, with related content on Disney+ now surpassing 640 million hours streamed. A sequel is already in development.
Digital and Physical Release Dates Announced
Lilo & Stitch will be available to purchase on Digital platforms—including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home—beginning July 22. Physical media fans can add it to their collections on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD when it arrives August 26.
The release includes a treasure trove of bonus content, such as deleted scenes, a blooper reel, behind-the-scenes featurettes, and even Stitch’s personal commentary on some of his favorite scenes. Exclusive to the 4K UHD SteelBook edition is striking cover art featuring Stitch breaking through the case, with custom interior artwork showcasing memorable moments between Lilo and her blue mischief-maker.
A New Take on a Beloved Tale
This live-action adaptation brings new life to the story of Lilo, a lonely Hawaiian girl, and Stitch, a genetically engineered alien posing as her pet. Starring Sydney Elizebeth Agudong, Maia Kealoha, Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, Chris Sanders, Hannah Waddingham, Zach Galifianakis, and Courtney B. Vance, the film honors the original while introducing a vibrant, cinematic lens that celebrates the culture and landscapes of Hawaiʻi.
With Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, the film offers a dynamic sensory experience that matches its emotional depth and visual beauty. Critics and audiences agree—it holds a 93% Popcorn Score on Rotten Tomatoes and continues to charm families worldwide.
Soundtrack and Special Features
Fans can also enjoy the Lilo & Stitch Original Soundtrack, available now on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. It features new tracks from Iam Tongi, Mark Kealiʻi Hoʻomalu, Nyjah Music & Zyah Rhythm, and an original score by Dan Romer.
