Lilo & Stitch is getting the live-action treatment.

Another casting update is here for the live-action Lilo & Stitch movie. The animated movie from Disney, released in 2002, followed Hawaiin sister and an alien-like dog that crash lands. THR reports that Sydney Agudong will play older sister Nani. Previously, it was revealed that newcomer Maia Kealoha is playing Lilo. Also, Zach Galifianakis and Billy Magnussen will be part of the movie, but their roles have yet to be disclosed. Dean Fleischer Camp, the director of Marcel the Shell With Shoes On, will helm the film. Stay tuned for more!

Synopsis

Lilo is a lonely Hawaiian girl who adopts a small ugly “dog,” whom she names Stitch. Stitch would be the perfect pet if he weren’t, in reality, a genetic experiment who has escaped from an alien planet and crash-landed on Earth. Through her love, faith, and unwavering belief in ohana, the Hawaiian concept of family, Lilo helps unlock Stitch’s heart and gives him the ability to care for someone else.
