Looney Tunes Return to UK Cinemas With The Day the Earth Blew Up

The Day the Earth Blew Up brings classic Looney Tunes chaos to UK cinemas.

The iconic world of Looney Tunes is heading back to the big screen in the United Kingdom. Vertigo Releasing announced that Looney Tunes: The Day the Earth Blew Up will arrive in UK and Irish cinemas. Moviegoers can head to their theaters on February 13, 2026. Read our review.

This latest animated feature puts Porky Pig and Daffy Duck in one of animation’s most legendary comedic duos in charge of saving the planet. Naturally, that plan comes with chaos, confusion, and plenty of classic Looney Tunes energy.

Porky and Daffy Face an Alien Threat

Produced by Warner Bros. Animation and directed by Pete Browngardt, The Day the Earth Blew Up is a sci-fi comedy adventure that leans fully into the franchise’s cartoon roots. The film is developed by the same creative team behind the award-winning Looney Tunes Cartoons series.

This time, Porky and Daffy find themselves as unlikely heroes and Earth’s final line of defense when an alien invasion threatens the planet. The story unfolds as a full-scale buddy comedy, presenting a Porky and Daffy dynamic that longtime fans have not seen before.

Rather than a short-form cartoon setup, the movie expands their relationship into a feature-length narrative packed with fast-paced gags, exaggerated action, and bold visual style.

A Bigger, Bolder Looney Tunes Experience

According to Vertigo Releasing, the film delivers everything audiences expect from Looney Tunes while pushing the scale further than ever. The movie promises laugh-out-loud slapstick, vibrant animation, and the irreverent humor that has defined the franchise for generations.

However, it also introduces a larger cinematic scope, blending classic cartoon absurdity with a full sci-fi adventure framework. As a result, the film aims to appeal to longtime fans while also welcoming younger audiences discovering Porky and Daffy for the first time.

UK and Ireland Release Details

Looney Tunes: The Day the Earth Blew Up will open exclusively in UK and Irish cinemas beginning February 13, 2026. The release marks a major theatrical return for the franchise, reinforcing Warner Bros. Animation’s commitment to big-screen Looney Tunes storytelling.

For cinema locations and additional details, audiences can visit Vertigo Releasing’s official website to find participating theaters across the UK and Ireland.

After decades of animated mayhem, Porky Pig and Daffy Duck are once again taking center stage. Saving the world has never looked so doomed or so entertaining.
