Guest speakers Catherine O’Hara who played Culkin’s on-screen mother in “Home Alone,” and Natasha Lyonne spoke at the ceremony. The heartwarming reunion between Culkin and Catherine O’Hara is one for the history books. Culkin’s acting journey began at the tender age of four. He quickly gained attention with his role in the John Hughes film “Uncle Buck.” His lead role as the resourceful Kevin McCallister in “Home Alone” catapulted him to international stardom. It earned him a Golden Globe nomination. The film’s sequel, “Home Alone II: Lost in New York,” continued the worldwide success.

Culkin has showcased his versatility throughout his career by taking on various roles. He has earned critical acclaim for his stage performance in Madame Melville and his portrayal of the ill-fated Michael Alig in the cult classic “Party Monster.” Culkin has also appeared in several films such as “My Girl,” “The Good Son,” “Richie Rich,” and “Saved!” Culkin’s contributions to the entertainment world go beyond acting, as he founded the new media empire Bunny Ears. This empire includes a podcast website, live events, and social and merchandising components. Culkin continued to make his mark on television and film in recent years. He has appeared in “American Horror Story: Installment 10” for FX and “The Righteous Gemstones” for HBO Max. Despite his success, Culkin remains committed to philanthropy. He supports charities such as the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance and Stand Up To Cancer.
