Tami Stronach’s Triumphant Return to Film with Man and Witch.

Tami Stronach, beloved for her iconic role as the Childlike Empress in The NeverEnding Story, is making her highly anticipated return to the fantasy genre with the new film, “Man and Witch: The Dance of a Thousand Steps.” This marks Stronach’s first film role in 40 years, coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the 1984 cult classic that catapulted her to fame.

In “Man and Witch,” Stronach stars alongside her husband, Greg Steinbruner, who also penned the screenplay. The film tells the enchanting story of a lonely goatherd cursed at birth to never take a wife. Desperate to lift the spell, he strikes a deal with a reclusive witch, only to find himself facing three impossible tasks that stand between him and true love. Stronach, who also works as an executive producer, started her acting career with a notable performance in The NeverEnding Story. Despite becoming a rising star, she left Hollywood to pursue a dance career. After training at top conservatories in New York and London, she became a well-known modern dance choreographer and performer in New York City. Stronach was not limited to dance; she also created original stage productions as an actor, dancer, choreographer, and producer. In 2015, Stronach co-founded the award-winning entertainment studio Paper Canoe Company with Steinbruner, aiming to create family-oriented content for both stage and screen. Their new film, “Man and Witch,” showcases the couple’s creative synergy and dedication to storytelling.
Directed by Michael Hines, the film features an amazing cast.
It includes Sean Astin, Christopher Lloyd, Eddie Izzard, Jennifer Saunders, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Michael Emerson, Bill Bailey, Daniel Portman, Stuart Bowman, and Martha West. “Man and Witch: The Dance of a Thousand Steps” will be showing in theaters nationwide on July 28th and 30th. It’s a comeback for Tami Stronach to the genre that first made her a star. You won’t want to miss this wonderful film that celebrates love, courage, and the enduring magic of fantasy.
