Marvin debuted its pilot during SXSW 2023.
Marvin is a magical fridge that can give you anything you want. The Amsterdam-produced series is from the director and writer Anton van der Linden. It is a modern fable about the pressures young people face today and their search for identity and true happiness. The comedy series tackles serious and emotional subjects that we face today. The pilot made its debut during SXSW 2023 in the Independent TV Pilot Competition. Cameron Tharma, Sarah Rose, Sven Ironside, and Jay Reaper are starring in the series. Watch the trailer below!
Synopsis
Squatting in Amsterdam, two friends, Dave and Sam, struggle with success, their queerness, and substance addictions until Marvin, a magic dream manifesting fridge, shows up and gives them everything they want. Still, they soon learn their shiny materialistic world is not what they expected.
