Paramount+ unveils first look images ahead of the eight-episode final season.
Jeremy Renner’s final chapter in Kingstown has a premiere date. Paramount+ announced that Mayor of Kingstown will return for its fifth and final season on Friday, January 15, 2027, exclusively on the streaming service.
The announcement also brought first-look images teasing the crime drama’s final reckoning. Renner leads a cast that includes Emmy and Golden Globe winner Edie Falco, with eight episodes set to close out the series.
An FBI investigation puts Mike’s secrets at risk
Spoiler warning: Season 4 plot details follow.
The final season picks up in the wake of Tracy’s murder and the vengeance Mike McLusky, played by Renner, and his brother Kyle, played by Taylor Handley, visited upon Callahan.
Now, someone is coming to ask questions.
David Morse plays FBI agent Russell Hardy, who arrives in Kingstown searching for the “fugitive” Callahan. Described as a true lawman, Hardy threatens to uncover Mike’s sins and secrets, putting the city’s already fragile balance of power in jeopardy.
That setup gives the final season a central conflict with deeply personal stakes. Mike and Kyle’s actions have consequences, and Hardy’s search could bring those consequences directly to their door. As the series heads toward its conclusion, the brothers’ secrets sit at the center of Kingstown’s next crisis.
Who is in the final season?
Alongside Renner, Falco, Morse and Handley, the announced cast includes Tony winner Laura Benanti, Hugh Dillon, Tobi Bamtefa, Derek Webster, Necar Zadegan, Nichole Galicia and Lennie James.
Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon co-created Mayor of Kingstown, with Sheridan also directing the series pilot. Dave Erickson serves as showrunner and executive producer.
Renner, Sheridan and Dillon are also among the executive producers, alongside Antoine Fuqua and others. Paramount Television Studios, 101 Studios and Bosque Ranch Productions produce the series.
When does Mayor of Kingstown Season 5 premiere?
Mayor of Kingstown Season 5 premieres Friday, January 15, 2027, exclusively on Paramount+. The fifth and final season consists of eight episodes.
For viewers who need to catch up before Mike McLusky’s final chapter begins, Seasons 1–4 are available to stream on Paramount+.
