‘Megalopolis’ weaves a tale of the City of New Rome, teetering on the brink of transformation. The narrative unfolds with Cesar Catilina, brought to life by the brilliant Adam Driver, locked in a battle of wills with Mayor Franklyn Cicero, portrayed by the incomparable Giancarlo Esposito. Catilina, a visionary artist, envisions a utopian future for the city, while Cicero is determined to uphold a regressive status quo marred by avarice, vested interests, and political strife. Caught in the crossfire is Julia Cicero, the mayor’s daughter, played by the talented Nathalie Emmanuel. Her love for Cesar forces her to confront her loyalties and question her beliefs about the true worth of humanity.
