“You know, Isabel was coming into a film that was going to be incredibly challenging to make, and I really wanted to make sure she felt safe the whole time,” Jovovich told Nerdtropolis. “The subject matter is so delicate and has to be treated with the utmost respect.”

That mindset shaped how the two actors approached their scenes together. Rather than relying strictly on the script, they worked collaboratively to make the dialogue feel natural and emotionally grounded.

“Isabel’s an incredibly talented writer, so we were able to write our scenes together to really think about what we would actually say to one another,” Jovovich said.
