“My Adventures with Superman” soars back to Adult Swim on May 25th.
Neighboring city Metropolis is abuzz with excitement as Warner Bros. Animation’s hit series “My Adventures with Superman” returns. It is set to swoop back for its eagerly awaited second season, premiering Saturday, May 25, at midnight ET/PT on Adult Swim. The series brings a unique twist to the classic narrative of Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and Jimmy Olsen, ‘My Adventures with Superman.’ Based on DC Comics characters, this animated show follows our heroes as they navigate their twenties and discover their true identities. With a stellar voice cast, including Jack Quaid as Superman, Alice Lee as Lois Lane, and Ishmel Sahid as Jimmy Olsen, the series perfectly blends action, humor, and heartfelt storytelling. Clark’s extraterrestrial origins come back to haunt him as formidable enemies from his past rear their heads. Lois Lane grapples with her professional future while juggling the complexities of her relationship with Clark. Meanwhile, Jimmy Olsen finds himself embroiled in financial misadventures that only Metropolis can provide.
“My Adventures with Superman” has a rich legacy within animated superhero storytelling. Since the early days of animation, Superman has captivated audiences with his heroic exploits. From the pioneering Fleischer Studios shorts of the 1940s to the iconic “Super Friends” series of the ’70s and ’80s, the Man of Steel has consistently adapted to the medium, captivating new generations of viewers. Executive produced by Sam Register of “Teen Titans Go!” fame and helmed by showrunners Jake Wyatt and Brendan Clogher, known for their work on “Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus” and “Voltron: Legendary Defender,” respectively, the series promises to deliver a thrilling blend of action and character-driven narrative.
The season two premiere will treat fans to a double bill of episodes, followed by weekly installments every Saturday on Adult Swim and streaming on Max the following Sundays.
