Smash hit prequel My Hero Academia: Vigilantes returns for Season 2.

After today’s explosive finale of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, Toho Co., Ltd. wasted no time dropping big news for fans: Season 2 is officially in the works and will arrive in 2026. The smash hit prequel anime series to the beloved MHA will stream its second season exclusively on Crunchyroll worldwide, excluding Asia.

The prequel follows the underground hero scene, focusing on vigilantes who fight crime without official hero licenses, adding a grittier edge to the MHA universe.

The MY HERO ACADEMIA Team Bringing Vigilantes Back

Based on the manga of the same name by Hideyuki Furuhashi, Betten Court, and Kohei Horikoshi, Vigilantes Season 1 was helmed by Kenichi Suzuki (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders; Cells at Work!). Yosuke Kuroda (My Hero Academia; Trigun) wrote the series composition and script, with Bones Film (Gachiakuta) handling animation.
