My Spy 2 has been announced by Amazon Studios.
My Spy 2 is getting a sequel, according to Deadline. The first MY SPY film followed JJ, a hardened CIA operative played by Dave Bautista. He has been demoted and finds himself at the mercy of a precocious 9-year-old girl named Sophie, played by Chloe Coleman, where he has been sent undercover begrudgingly to surveil her family. The two will reunite for a sequel. Kristen Schaal and Ken Jeongare returning with Anna Faris, Craig Robinson, and Flula Borg, the newest additions. Peter Segal is returning to direct from a script by Jon Hoeber & Erich Hoeber. The Amazon Original Movie going into production this month
Synopsis
A now teenage Sophie convinces JJ to chaperone her school choir trip to Italy, where they both unwittingly end up pawns in an international terrorist plot targeting CIA Chief David Kim and his son, Collin, who also happens to be Sophie’s best friend.
