Oasis documentary captures Liam And Noel Gallagher reunion tour.

The teaser trailer for Don’t Look Back In Anger, the highly anticipated Oasis documentary presented by Disney+, has arrived.
The film follows the legendary British band during Oasis Live ’25, the massive reunion tour that brought Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher back together after 16 years apart. One year ago today, on July 4, 2025, Oasis kicked off the tour in Cardiff, Wales, marking their first live performance together since 2009.
Produced by Magna Studios and Sony Music Vision, Don’t Look Back In Anger will open in select IMAX and theaters in September. The documentary will then stream exclusively on Disney+ internationally and on Hulu and Disney+ in the U.S. later this year.
The film comes from BAFTA and Oscar-nominated writer, producer, and director Steven Knight, best known for Peaky Blinders and A Thousand Blows. It is directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, the filmmakers behind Shut Up and Play the Hits and Meet Me in the Bathroom.
Oasis Live ’25 Became A Global Rock Moment
Don’t Look Back In Anger charts Liam and Noel Gallagher’s triumphant reunion tour, Oasis Live ’25. It captures one of the biggest rock comebacks in recent memory and shows why the band still matters to longtime fans and new generations.

The documentary includes rehearsal footage, backstage access, onstage moments, and the first joint interviews with Noel and Liam in more than 20 years. That alone makes the film a major event for Oasis fans.
The tour was more than a nostalgia play. It became a global cultural moment built around songs that have never really left stadiums, pubs, playlists, or family car rides. Tracks like Wonderwall, Live Forever, Champagne Supernova, and Don’t Look Back In Anger helped turn Oasis into one of the defining bands of the 1990s.
For many fans, the reunion also carried emotional weight. Oasis was not just returning to the stage. The Gallagher brothers were standing near each other again after years of public tension, distance, and speculation.
Steven Knight Calls The Film A Story Of Reconciliation
Steven Knight says the documentary is about more than the show itself.
“The Oasis world tour united generations, cultures, and countries and spoke to a broken world about reconciliation. Don’t Look Back In Anger is not only your ticket to the show – it’s a backstage pass and a seat at the table when Liam and Noel sit down together for the first time in 15 years and tell it how it is and how it was.”
That quote points to the heart of the film. Oasis Live ’25 was built on huge songs, huge crowds, and huge expectations. However, the real story sits between the brothers.
Fans wanted the hits. They also wanted to see whether Liam and Noel could share the same stage again without the old fire burning everything down.
The History Of Oasis
Oasis formed in Manchester in 1991 and quickly became one of the loudest, most confident, and most important bands of the Britpop era. Liam Gallagher’s unmistakable voice gave the group its swagger, while Noel Gallagher’s songwriting became the engine behind the band’s rise.
Their debut album, Definitely Maybe, arrived in 1994 and turned Oasis into a force almost overnight. Songs like Supersonic, Live Forever, and Cigarettes & Alcohol helped define the band’s sound: big guitars, bigger hooks, and a belief that rock music could still feel larger than life.
Then came 1995’s (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, the album that pushed Oasis from British rock heroes into global icons. The record included Wonderwall, Don’t Look Back In Anger, Some Might Say, Champagne Supernova, and Morning Glory.
The album became a cultural landmark. It also placed Oasis at the center of the Britpop explosion, alongside acts like Blur, Pulp, and Suede. While the media loved turning the era into a rivalry, Oasis always stood apart because of the Gallagher brothers.
Their music was anthemic. Their interviews were unpredictable. Their confidence was massive. Their fights became almost as famous as their songs.
The Gallagher Feud Explained
The Oasis story has always been tied to Liam and Noel Gallagher’s complicated relationship.
Onstage, they helped create some of the biggest rock songs of their generation. Offstage, their clashing personalities often became tabloid headlines. Liam brought the raw attitude, sharp humor, and frontman chaos. Noel brought the songwriting, structure, and dry wit.
Together, they made Oasis electric. Apart, they made Oasis unstable.
The tension followed the band through its biggest years. Arguments, canceled performances, and public shots between the brothers became part of the band’s identity. Some fans saw the chaos as part of the appeal. Others wondered how long it could last.
That question was answered in 2009, when Oasis split after years of strain. Noel left the band, and the brothers went their separate ways. Liam continued with Beady Eye before launching a successful solo career. Noel formed Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and built his own path outside Oasis.
For years, a reunion felt impossible. Liam often pushed for one publicly, while Noel seemed less interested. Fans still hoped, but the feud made Oasis feel frozen in the past.
That changed with Oasis Live ’25.
The Reunion Mattered
Oasis ‘ return in 2025 was not just another band getting back together. It felt like a piece of music history moving again.
The Cardiff kickoff on July 4, 2025, gave fans the moment they had waited more than 16 years to see. Liam and Noel were back on the same stage. The songs were back in a stadium. The crowd got to sing every word as if no time had passed.
That is why Don’t Look Back In Anger is more than a concert film. It captures the emotional release behind the reunion.
The title itself says everything. Don’t Look Back In Anger is one of Oasis’ most beloved songs, but it also feels like a mission statement for this chapter. The band’s story has always included anger, ego, brilliance, and brotherhood. This documentary now gets to explore what happens when the past finally turns into something else.
A Documentary Built For IMAX
Opening Don’t Look Back In Anger in IMAX gives the Oasis comeback the scale it deserves.
Oasis songs were built for crowds. They work best when thousands of people sing them at full volume. That makes IMAX a smart home for the film’s first release, especially if the documentary leans into the energy of the tour.
With backstage footage, rehearsal access, and onstage performances, the film should give fans a closer look at the reunion from every angle. It will show the machine behind the comeback, but it will also show the human side of the moment.
The biggest draw remains Liam and Noel sitting down together. Their first joint interviews in over 20 years could give Don’t Look Back In Anger the kind of access fans never expected.
For Oasis fans, this is not just a documentary. It is a front-row seat to a reunion many thought would never happen.
