Paddington Bear is back in the first trailer for “Paddington in Peru.” It will hit UK cinemas on November 8th, 2024, and US theaters on January 17th, 2025. The much-anticipated third installment in the beloved franchise brings Paddington’s adventures to the heart of Peru, marking a significant homecoming for the iconic bear. Watch the trailer below!
“Paddington in Peru” follows Paddington as he visits his dear Aunt Lucy, who now resides at the Home for Retired Bears. Accompanied by the Brown family, Paddington’s trip soon transforms into an exhilarating adventure. A mysterious incident sends them on an unexpected journey through the lush Amazon rainforest and the towering mountain peaks of Peru, promising excitement and heartwarming moments.
Dougal Wilson takes the directorial helm for this new chapter.
The film boasts a star-studded cast. It includes Hugh Bonneville, Emily Mortimer, Antonio Banderas, Olivia Colman, Julie Walters, Madeleine Harris, Samuel Joslin, Carla Tous, and Jim Broadbent. Ben Whishaw reprises his role as Paddington’s voice. At the same time, Imelda Staunton returns as Aunt Lucy, ensuring continuity and familiarity for fans of the series.
The first two films, “Paddington” (2014) and “Paddington 2” (2017), were both critical and commercial successes. Directed by Paul King, they introduced Paddington to a new generation. The story of a polite bear from Peru, found at Paddington Station in London with a note asking to “Please look after this bear,” quickly became a classic. Over the years, Paddington’s adventures have been translated into numerous languages. It has been adapted into various media, including television series and, most recently, the successful film franchise.
