Disney+ Reveals New Trailer, Poster, and Images Teasing The Titan’s Curse, New Demigods, and Percy’s Dangerous Mission to Save Annabeth.
The highly anticipated trailer for Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 has finally arrived! With the arrival of the trailer, which is weeks away from the Disney+ premiere, fans may finally know what this adaptation of “The Titan’s Curse” will truly showcase.
In addition to the new trailer, new images from the season and a full poster were also revealed. These new images give fans a closer look at the Hunters of Artemis, Percy and Annabeth, the di Angelo siblings, and many more characters. Check them out below!
The trailer itself sees Percy reeling with the “loss” of Annabeth all while he goes toe-to-toe with Thalia, the daughter of Zeus who was revived in Season 2’s ending. Atlas has his own plans for Annabeth, but the demigods also have Nico and Bianca to watch them throughout their journey. As Aphrodite puts it in the trailer, if Olympus is to survive, “it will be because of love.“
Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 will mark the first-ever adaptation of Rick Riordan’s third book.
This book, “The Titan’s Curse”, will see some fan-favorite characters, gods, and monsters come to life once again. This time, the show has the full roster of Olympians at their disposal, but some have yet to be seen.
That said, due to how Percy Jackson is formatted, fans can also expect split perspectives between Percy and Annabeth. Given how events were mainly presented through Percy’s perspective, Annabeth’s perspective may reveal the deeper familial connection she has with Thalia and her former guardian, Luke. Season 3 may also take time to show what Luke’s been dealing with, but time will tell where these demigods go.
There’s also new scenes to spare, including one where Dionysus is with Percy and Nico. Although some may wonder what this scene may entail, it’s certainly telling that these characters are in an isolated part of Camp Half-Blood.
As for other characters that fans are hoping for, there may be certain characters that make their appearances. However, fan-favorites, like Silena Beauregard and Charles Beckendorf, will not be making their appearances. While this was confirmed multiple times, the trailer does hint at some “Titan’s Curse” characters that do have their roles to play later on, like Phoebe and other Half-Blood campers.
The full cast of Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 includes Walker Scobell, Leah Sava’ Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, Tamara Smart and Levi Chrisopulos.
Created by Rick Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg, Season 3 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians is executive produced by Steinberg, Dan Shotz and Craig Silverstein, alongside Rick Riordan, Rebecca Riordan, The Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Jeremy Bell, Bert Salke, James Bobin, Jim Rowe, Albert Kim, Sarah Watson and Tamara Becher-Wilkinson.
Jet Wilkinson serves as an executive producer on the last two episodes of the season.
