Samara Weaving’s Ready or Not 2 Adds Kathryn Newton and Sarah Michelle Gellar to the Hunt -TRAILER

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come raises the stakes with a new council and a new target.

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come premieres in theaters Spring 2026. The sequel is a theatrical exclusive. The first film turned Grace’s wedding night into a deadly game. She married into the wealthy Le Domas family, only to learn their “game night” meant survival at all costs.

Now, the sequel throws Grace into an even bigger nightmare. Moments after surviving the Le Domas, she discovers a new level—this time, the hunt involves power, politics, and a throne.

Grace is back, and the stakes look global

Samara Weaving’s Grace is pulled into a larger contest with rules she never asked for, and she’s forced to team up with her estranged sister, Faith (Kathryn Newton). With rival families closing in, the only path forward is to stay alive, keep Faith alive, and fight for the High Seat — the throne tied to the Council that controls the world.

Four rival families hunt Grace for the throne. The winner rules all, signaling a wider arena and bigger targets for the sequel.

Radio Silence returns to direct

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett of Radio Silence direct the sequel. Horror fans know the duo for slick, fast-moving crowd thrillers like Abigail and the two Scream films, as they always build tension with sharp humor, then flip the switch hard.

Their style suits this franchise. Ready or Not worked because it was fun yet ruthless. The sequel aims to match that on a bigger scale. Writers Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy return, ensuring the same tone, pacing, and punchy mix of dread and bite.

A stacked cast joins the chaos

The film stars:

  • Samara Weaving
  • Kathryn Newton
  • Sarah Michelle Gellar
  • Shawn Hatosy
  • Néstor Carbonell
  • With David Cronenberg
  • And Elijah Wood

That lineup feels built for a wild ride. It also hints that the sequel will lean into bigger personalities and sharper rivalries.

Why the Weaving, Newton, and Gellar trio feels like a knockout

Weaving drives the series. Grace is smart, unbreakable, and her edge makes every close call hit harder. Newton brings fuel to the story through the sister angle. Faith raises the emotional risk in every scene. Grace can’t just survive anymore. She has to protect her family, too. Sarah Michelle Gellar brings instant genre credibility and grit. With Weaving and Newton, this trio excels at action, horror, and attitude.

If the first film was about escaping in-laws, this one aims higher. Grace now takes the fight to those who run the game.

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come opens in theaters March 27th, 2026.
