Rock, Paper, Scissors Voice Cast Interview

Nickelodeon’s newest animated gem is Rock, Paper, Scissors.

Nickelodeon is preparing to debut a new animated series called “Rock, Paper, Scissors” on Monday, February 12 at 5:30 p.m. (ET/PT). This new addition to the network’s schedule is expected to be loved by audiences of all ages, thanks to its captivating characters and quirky adventures. The first episode, titled “Scissors Gets a Job,” introduces the show’s premise. In this episode, Scissors is in a financial bind and decides to work as a janitor, only to discover that it’s more challenging than he expected. Meanwhile, Rock and Paper tries to motivate their friend in a unique way. Recently, I interviewed the talented cast of “Rock, Paper, Scissors” to learn about their experiences working on this exciting show.

One of the standout features of Rock, Paper, Scissors is its talented voice cast.

It includes some familiar faces from both the big and small screens. Ron Funches lends his voice to the lovable character of Rock, bringing his trademark warmth and humor to the role. Funches, known for his work on projects like DreamWorks’ Trolls and the Harley Quinn series, infuses Rock with an infectious energy. Joining Funches is the versatile Tom Lennon, who voices the intellectually ambitious Paper. With a background in comedy and acting, Lennon brings his comedic chops to the character, drawing on his experience from beloved shows like Reno 911! and The Odd Couple. His portrayal of Paper adds depth and humor to the dynamic trio at the show’s heart.

Carlos Alazraqui rounds out the trio as the confident yet reluctant Scissors. Alazraqui, best known for his roles in Reno 911! and Rocko’s Modern Life, brings a unique blend of swagger and vulnerability to the character, making Scissors both endearing and relatable. Also joining the cast is Melissa Villaseñor, who voices the inventive Pencil. As the first-ever Latina cast member of Saturday Night Live, Villaseñor brings her comedic prowess to the role. She infuses Pencil with intelligence and charm.

Rock, Paper, Scissors will become the next must-watch animated series. It has a talented voice cast, engaging storylines, and universal appeal. Be sure to tune in to Nickelodeon on February 12 at 5:30 p.m. (ET/PT) to catch all the action and prepare to embark on a wild and hilarious ride with Rock, Paper, Scissors, and their friends.
