The acclaimed psychological thriller Se7en celebrates its 30th anniversary with a 4K Ultra HD release. The film is directed by three-time Oscar nominee David Fincher, known for The Social Network and Mank. The 1995 classic will be available digitally. It will also be available on 4K UHD Blu-ray Disc on January 7, 2025. Fans can find the remastered version on Amazon Prime Video.

The film stars an award-winning cast.
The cast includes Brad Pitt (Fight Club), Morgan Freeman (Million Dollar Baby), and Gwyneth Paltrow (Shakespeare in Love). It follows two detectives who pursue a calculating serial killer. The killer’s gruesome crimes are inspired by the Seven Deadly Sins. Kevin Spacey (American Beauty) delivers a chilling performance as John Doe, rounding out a stellar ensemble cast. Se7en was a critical and commercial success. It earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Film Editing. Richard Francis-Bruce was credited for this. It also received a BAFTA nomination for Best Original Screenplay. Andrew Kevin Walker was responsible for this screenplay.
The 4K restoration was sourced from the original camera negative. Fincher himself supervised it. This ensures the film’s dark aesthetic is preserved with unprecedented clarity. This restoration was completed at Warner Bros. Discovery’s Motion Picture Imaging (MPI). In addition to its stunning visuals, the release is packed with special features. These features include in-depth commentaries from the cast and crew. You will find deleted scenes and alternate endings. There are production stills and an exploration of the iconic opening title sequence. Fans can also explore behind-the-scenes featurettes.
