The Seventh Installment in the V/H/S franchise is arriving on October 4th.

Today, shudder revealed the title, release date, and director’s lineup for the seventh installment of the V/H/S franchise. The Shudder Original Film, in association with Studio71, is officially titled V/H/S/BEYOND. The film is set to premiere on October 4, 2024. It promises to deliver six new bloodcurdling tapes, blending horror with a sci-fi-inspired hellscape. Shudder is AMC Networks’ premium streaming service for horror, thriller, and the supernatural.

The segments include:
- STORK: Directed by Jordan Downey, with a screenplay by Downey and Kevin Stewart.
- FUR BABIES: Written and directed by Christian Long and Justin Long.
- LIVE AND LET DIVE: Directed by Justin Martinez, with a story by Martinez and Ben Turner and a screenplay by Turner.
- DREAM GIRL: Directed by Virat Pal, written by Pal and Evan Dickson.
- STOWAWAY: Directed by Kate Siegel, written by Mike Flanagan.
- Special Presentation: By Jay Cheel.
V/H/S/BEYOND follows the success of the sixth installment, V/H/S/85, which premiered on October 6, 2023. 85 broke records, becoming the most-watched exclusive film premiere of the year for Shudder and AMC+. The franchise has been a favorite among horror fans, known for its unique anthology format showcasing various terrifying tales.
The original was released in 2012.
It introduced the concept of found footage horror anthologies, captivating audiences with its raw and unsettling style. Its success led to a string of sequels, each contributing fresh, horrifying stories to the anthology. V/H/S/2 (2013) continued the tradition with even more gruesome segments, followed by V/H/S: Viral (2014), which explored the darker side of internet culture. After a brief hiatus, the series returned with V/H/S/94 (2021), V/H/S/99 (2022), and V/H/S/85 (2023), each installment pushing the boundaries of horror and innovative storytelling.
V/H/S/BEYOND aims to build on this legacy, offering a new set of spine-chilling stories that will surely resonate with fans of the genre.
