Sir Sidney Poitier, A Hollywood Legend Passes Away

Sir Sidney Poitier passes away at age 94.

The Bahamian Minister of Foreign Affairs confirmed to TMZ that Sir Sidney Poitier passed away. He was the first Black man to win an Oscar for best actor. He was Knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1974. Poitier is best known for The Defiant Once, Lilies of the Field In the Heat of the Night, To Sir, With Love and Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner? Poitier was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2009.
