SISU: Road to Revenge Brings Brutal Action Back Home on Digital and 4K Steelbook

SISU: Road to Revenge goes bigger, bloodier, and more relentless.

The relentless world of SISU returns with even more blood-soaked intensity in SISU: Road to Revenge, the explosive sequel to the 2023 sleeper hit. The film arrives on Digital Dec. 16, followed by 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on Feb. 17, including a Limited Edition 1-Disc 4K UHD Steelbook for collectors. Order here.

Written and directed by Jalmari Helander, SISU: Road to Revenge expands the mythic brutality of its predecessor while raising the stakes with bigger action, bolder set pieces, and a more personal mission. The sequel leans fully into the legend of its unstoppable antihero, delivering a high-speed chase that rarely lets up.

A Survivor’s Mission Turns Personal

Jorma Tommila returns as “the man who refuses to die,” this time driven by grief as much as vengeance. Returning to the house where his family was brutally murdered during the war, he dismantles the entire structure and loads it onto a truck, determined to rebuild it somewhere safe in their honor.

That fragile attempt at closure is short-lived. When the Red Army commander responsible for the massacre resurfaces, the past violently collides with the present. Stephen Lang (Don’t Breathe) plays the ruthless antagonist, arriving hellbent on finishing what he started.

What follows is a relentless, eye-popping cross-country pursuit that escalates into a fight to the death, packed with clever, often unbelievable action sequences that push the franchise’s brutal identity even further.

Drew Munhausen on the Mayhem

“A wild sequel that cranks up the chaos,” wrote Drew Munhausen, perfectly capturing how SISU: Road to Revenge amplifies everything that made the original such a brutal standout. In his full review, Munhausen digs deeper into how the sequel leans harder into inventive action, savage combat, and dark humor, while still grounding the violence in a story driven by grief, survival, and revenge.

Bigger Action, Same Relentless Spirit

Helander once again emphasizes practical mayhem, staging action sequences that feel raw, unpredictable, and visually striking. The film’s lean runtime keeps the pacing aggressive, never lingering long before the next burst of chaos.

Richard Brake joins the cast alongside Lang, adding another layer of menace to a lineup designed to test the limits of its seemingly indestructible lead.
