Spaceman is a cinematic journey unveiling secrets of love and space.
The Netflix movie, “Spaceman,” stars Adam Sandler as Jakub. He is an astronaut on a research mission to the solar system’s edge. The film explores the isolation and loneliness of space and its impact on personal relationships. It will have its world premiere during the “Berlinale Special” program at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival. Watch the trailer below!
As Jakub grapples with the possibility of his marriage falling apart, he finds an unlikely ally in Hanuš. He is a mysterious creature from the dawn of time, voiced by Paul Dano. Together, the two embark on a journey of self-discovery and redemption, attempting to mend Jakub’s fractured relationship with his wife, Lenka, played by Carey Mulligan. The film is by director Johan Renck and adapted from the novel “Spaceman of Bohemia.” It features a stellar cast, including Kunal Nayyar as technician Peter, Lena Olin, and Isabella Rossellini as Commissioner Tuma, Jakub’s commanding officer.
