The documentary is an emotional tribute to the man who was a beloved movie star and a real-life hero. Reeve’s journey from Hollywood icon to activist and advocate for spinal cord injury research is nothing short of inspiring. His portrayal of Superman may have set the benchmark for superhero films, but his courage and relentless determination in the face of personal tragedy is what truly defines his legacy.
The film, directed by Ian Bonhôte and Peter Ettedgui, masterfully weaves together Reeve’s life, showing both his triumphs on screen and his struggles after the life-changing horse-riding accident in 1995 that left him paralyzed. What makes this documentary particularly special is the intimate nature of the material. With never-before-seen home videos and personal archives, audiences get a rare glimpse into the man behind the cape. The film also features the first-ever extended interviews with Reeve’s children, adding a deeply personal layer to the story.

Reeve’s story continues to inspire, and this documentary is a powerful reminder of the hero he was, both on and off the screen.
