The Story
In The Housemaid, Sweeney plays Millie, a young woman desperate to escape her troubled past. She accepts a live-in position working for wealthy couple Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew Winchester (Sklenar). At first, the job feels like a dream come true. But behind the polished exterior of the Winchester household lurks something far darker.

What starts as domestic perfection quickly spirals into a seductive and dangerous game filled with secrets, scandal, and shifting power. As Millie becomes entangled in the couple’s web, shocking twists emerge that promise to keep audiences on edge until the final reveal.
Feig, best known for hits like Bridesmaids and A Simple Favor, returns to his thriller roots with this adaptation, blending style, suspense, and razor-sharp storytelling. With two powerhouse leads and a story fueled by deception, The Housemaid is positioned to be one of the winter’s most talked-about films. The Housemaid opens nationwide in theaters on December 19, 2025.
