Pete Davidson and Alanna Ubach join Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Paramount+ has unveiled the official trailer for its new 2D animated series, “Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” All 12 episodes of the first season will debut on Friday, August 9, exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada. The series will premiere a day later, on August 10, in the U.K. and Australia. Watch the trailer below!
The series features a star-studded lineup of guest stars, including Pete Davidson and Alanna Ubach. Davidson, known for his work on “Saturday Night Live,” voices Rod, a wealthy, laid-back kid with an obsession for mutants. Ubach, who appeared in “Ted,” plays Bishop, a brilliant inventor convinced that mutants, including the beloved Turtles, are a grave threat to humanity and must be eradicated. More guest stars will be announced in the coming weeks.
The series is produced by Nickelodeon Animation and Point Grey Pictures.
“Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” takes place in the same universe as last summer’s hit film, “Mutant Mayhem.” The series follows the iconic heroes—Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo—as they navigate life above ground in New York City, dealing with new threats and teaming up with familiar allies. The Turtles must juggle their teenage lives with the ongoing battle against the villains hiding in the city’s shadows.
Returning to voice the Turtles from “Mutant Mayhem” are Micah Abbey as Donatello, Shamon Brown Jr. as Michelangelo, Nicolas Cantu as Leonardo, Brady Noon as Raphael, and Ayo Edebiri as April O’Neil. Their performances in the film were well-received, adding anticipation for their return in the series.
