Ted returns in a hilarious prequel series for Peacock.

Ted, the lovably crude teddy bear created by Seth MacFarlane, is making a comeback on January 11th in a new comedic prequel event series streaming on Peacock. The series takes us back to 1993, exploring when Ted’s moment of fame had dwindled, and he found himself in his hometown of Framingham, Massachusetts. The story takes place in the post-fame life of the cuddle bear.

He lives with his best friend, 16-year-old John Bennett, portrayed by Max Burkholder. The dynamic duo shares living quarters with John’s parents, Matty and Susan, played by Scott Grimes and Alanna Ubach, respectively. Ted’s presence is spiced up by including John’s cousin Blaire, played by Giorgia Whigham.

The series is set in the 90s. It aims to take viewers on a nostalgic trip with references to pop culture and a soundtrack that captures the era’s essence. The story revolves around Ted and his influence on young John as they navigate life in Framingham. Ted is an imperfect role model but a loyal friend.
