The Bad Guys 2 Trailer Introduces A Bigger, Badder Adventure with New Villains

The Bad Guys 2’ introduces the Bad Girls in a thrilling sequel.

DreamWorks Animation is back with a heist-filled sequel, The Bad Guys 2. Picking up from the reformed antics of Mr. Wolf and his crew, this adventure raises the stakes with a new team of cunning criminals: The Bad Girls. Returning director Pierre Perifel and producer Damon Ross bring together an all-star voice cast to deliver the laughs and action. Academy Award winner Sam Rockwell reprises his role as the suave Mr. Wolf, joined by Marc Maron, Craig Robinson, Anthony Ramos, and Awkwafina as the beloved team of animal misfits.

This time, the crew’s attempt at staying on the straight and narrow is derailed when they’re pulled into a globe-trotting heist led by a trio of new characters. Danielle Brooks shines as Kitty Kat, The Bad Girls’s fearless snow leopard leader, alongside Maria Bakalova’s brilliant Bulgarian wild boar, Pigtail, and Natasha Lyonne’s sly raven, Doom.

Fans of Aaron Blabey’s New York Times best-selling book series will be delighted to know the story continues to evolve. The series has sold over 30 million copies since the first film’s 2022 release. Returning cast members Zazie Beetz, Richard Ayoade, Alex Borstein, and Lilly Singh add to the excitement. The sequel also welcomes JP Sans as co-director, who lent his expertise as head of character animation on the original. Daniel Pemberton returns to compose the score, promising another memorable soundtrack.

The Bad Guys 2 brings high-stakes heists, clever twists, and the lovable mischief fans adore. With its expanded roster of villains and globe-trotting adventures, this sequel will certainly steal the spotlight. Catch it in theaters on August 1st, 2025.
