The Blackening is a horror comedy from Lionsgate. It stars Grace Byers, Jermaine Fowler, Melvin Gregg, X Mayo, Dewayne Perkins, Antoinette Robertson, and Sinqua Walls, with Jay Pharoah and Yvonne Orji. Tim Story directs who is best known for helming Ride Along, Think Like A Man, and Barbershop. It will be in theaters on June 16th, 2023. Watch the movie trailer below!
Synopsis
A group of Black friends reunites for a Juneteenth weekend getaway only to find themselves trapped in a remote cabin with a twisted killer. Forced to play by his rules, the friends soon realize this ain’t no motherfu**in’ game.
