The Fall Guy is by real-life stuntman turned-director David Leitch. He is known for his work on “Bullet Train,” “Deadpool 2,” and “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.” It features over-the-top action and jaw-dropping practical stunts. The film also pays homage to action movies and the hard-working stunt crews who make them. The Extended Cut is now exclusively available on digital platforms. It offers an additional 20 minutes of footage with more action, laughs, and stunts. The original version is still available for rental or purchase on all major digital platforms.
Barbie star Ryan Gosling stars as Colt Seavers. He is a battle-scarred stuntman who gets drafted back into service after a near-career-ending accident. The plot thickens when Tom Ryder, played by Kraven The Hunter‘s Aaron Taylor-Johnson, goes missing. Ryder is the star of a mega-budget studio movie directed by Colt’s ex, Jody Moreno, played by Golden Globe winner Emily Blunt. “The Fall Guy” is inspired by the popular 1980s TV series and features Hannah Waddingham, Winston Duke from the “Black Panther” franchise, and Joy Ride‘s Stephanie Hsu. The screenplay, written by Drew Pearce, who also penned “Hobbs & Shaw,” complements the high-octane direction by Leitch.
