What Is Included in The Fast and the Furious 25th Anniversary 4K Release?

The Fast and the Furious 25th anniversary release includes the newly remastered 4K Ultra HD version of the film, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, a limited edition 4K SteelBook, and a packed lineup of bonus features on disc and digital.

The biggest new addition is Riding a Legacy: 25 Years of Fast, an all-new retrospective featuring Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, producer Neal H. Moritz, and Meadow Walker.

The new bonus feature was filmed at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. It features a candid conversation about the origins of The Fast and the Furious, the impact of the original movie, and the legacy of the franchise 25 years later.

The Movie That Started the Fast Saga

Directed by Rob Cohen, The Fast and the Furious stars Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Rick Yune, Ja Rule, Chad Lindberg, Johnny Strong, Matt Schulze, Ted Levine, and more.

The film follows the turbo-charged world of street racing in Los Angeles, where Dominic Toretto, played by Vin Diesel, rules the road with speed, loyalty, and a powerful crew behind him. Paul Walker stars as Brian O’Conner, an undercover detective who enters Dom’s world and finds himself caught between the law and the family he starts to care about.

The original film became a defining action movie of the early 2000s. It combined import car culture, underground racing, high-speed stunts, music, and family drama into a movie that would grow far beyond its street-racing roots.

Twenty-five years later, The Fast and the Furious remains the foundation of the Fast Saga and one of the most important films in Universal’s modern franchise history.
