The Long Game made its debut last year at SXSW.

Mucho Mas Media is releasing a new film titled “The Long Game” on April 12 in theaters nationwide. Julio Quintana directs the movie. It promises to take the audience on an exciting journey through the world of sports and resilience. Featuring an ensemble cast including Dennis Quaid, Jay Hernandez, Jaina Lee Ortiz, Oscar Nuñez, and Cheech Marin, the film has generated a lot of buzz after winning the Narrative Spotlight Audience Award at the 2023 SXSW Film Festival.

“THE LONG GAME” is a film based on true events that follows the remarkable story of five young Mexican American caddies who defied the odds by creating their golf course in 1955 amidst the rugged terrain of South Texas. Despite lacking resources and experience, these determined individuals challenged their affluent competitors, showcasing their talent and determination on the green. The movie is based on the book “Mustang Miracle” by Humberto G. Garcia. It explores resilience and triumph in the face of adversity during the 1950s. The film sheds light on a lesser-known chapter of sports history. It highlights its protagonists’ courage and tenacity as they navigate racial and socioeconomic barriers to pursue their passion for golf.
Mucho Mas Media and Bonniedale Entertainment have partnered to bring an inspiring tale to the big screen. The film by Quintana had the script written by Quintana, Paco Farías, and Jennifer Stetson. It is set to release in theaters on April 12th.
